Counting Syllables — Prototype (analog of Kodaly / Gordon rhythm syllables)

Instead of (or alongside) a beat number, each bracket gets a spoken syllable: one steady note is "ta", two quavers filling a beat are "ti-ti", and a note held across a whole beat with nothing new starting is "ta-a". Say the syllables out loud while tapping the beat — that's the whole exercise.

4/4 — "ta, ta, ti-ti, ta"

Same bar as the numbered-bracket and beat-match prototypes: 2 crotchets = 1 minim beat, said as "ti-ti".

6/8 — compound-time syllables ("ta-fi-te" per beat)

A common Kodaly extension for compound-time triplet beats: "ta-fi-te" for three even quavers in one beat.

Rough prototype for internal review — syllables are hand-assigned per example here (same caveat as the numbered-bracket prototype: not yet auto-derived from note durations).
